About BecomeChinese
BecomeChinese is an educational website that combines practical Chinese-language tools with publisher-written guides, examples, and usage notes. We focus on workflows that help learners, teachers, parents, and travelers do something concrete: choose a Chinese name, print handwriting sheets, annotate pronunciation, decode menus, format bilingual addresses, and study useful phrases in context.
Tool-first publishing
Every major workflow starts with a working tool, not an SEO shell. We build utilities for naming, handwriting practice, pinyin annotation, address formatting, menu decoding, and phrase lookup, then add the teacher-written guidance that explains how to use them well.
People-first editorial notes
We add examples, usage notes, transcripts, and scenario-specific guidance because language tools are only useful when learners understand the social context around the words. The goal is practical learning content, not empty calculators next to ads.
Small family, real workflows
BecomeChinese is run by a US-based software family raising three bilingual kids in Washington. The site reflects the same workflows we use ourselves: printing character practice, checking phrase tone, preparing bilingual materials, and navigating travel or shipping tasks tied to Chinese-language contexts.
